Variational Closure

Definition

Variational closure is an architectural invariant in which a block receives a variational representation and returns a variational representation without silently collapsing uncertainty into a deterministic point.

Research perspective

For attention and other composite mechanisms, closure can be maintained through explicit probabilistic transformations and moment projection, with assumptions and approximations reported as part of the architecture.
